    The Capital Market Authority prohibits non-banking credit companies from paying commissions on mortgage and reverse mortgage counseling

    This is a directive similar to that of the Bank of Israel from 2017 * In August 2025, the Authority responded to Lobby 99, which had reached out on the matter, noting that there is nothing wrong with the activity of distribution channels with non-banking credit entities, provided it is conducted in a proper and transparent manner * The Authority intends to publish a similar directive later on that will also apply to institutional entities, in order to create a uniform standard across the entire market
